2013 Goal: Lose 66 Lbs

The year 2013 is up on us and we are 11 day in and A goal of mine this year is to lose weight 66 pounds by December 1 right now I weight 286 pounds. I want to lose the weight to be more active with my kids and help them to grow up healthy. So I can be there to see them get married and have kids too. I also want to lose weight so I can feel better about myself. So far this year it has been a struggle but I am determined to do this to be there for my family. I will try and keep you up to date on how it is going.

Some struggles of mine are to lazy to push my self to get up and work out. Don’t like doing it alone but will probably have to for a while. I know a little about health and fitness but I at time feel like I know a lot and lie to my self that i am in okay shape when I am not.

I am proud of myself i did a total of two walks this week one monday and one yesterday around my neighborhood. will work on that some more. thanks for your support and if you have any advice let me know. have a great day and a blessed 2013.

Who is winning the Super Bowl?

Out of the eight teams left in the playoff who do you think will win the Super bowl? We have Seattle,GreenBay,Denver, Patriots, Baltimore, San Francisco, Houston, and Atlanta? I was a regionally wanting the Colt and Redskins because I thought it would have been cool to see the top two draft picks get to the Super Bowl.
But my pick to go to the Super Bowl is Denver and Seattle. We shall see.

A touched Life

I get the Daily Prompts blog post and one of them was to write about a teach that impacted your life either in a good way or bad. Well here is my blog post about that.

The person is name is Mrs. Marsh. She is the science teacher at the high school I graduated from. She had a big impacted on my life as in motivating me and being willing to listen and talk to me through out my high school years. I loved just going to her class and talking about life and class work.

I also like going to her class during lunch and sitting down and discussing whatever was on my brain. She was sweet and kind to me but she was also truthful with me. She gave me what I deserved in class at times on class works.

I hope that I was a blessing to her as much as she was to me during that time. I just want to say Mrs. Marsh you are a one of a kind teacher and I appreciate all you have done for me over the years. I thank God that he put you in my life every day. Words can not express how much I appreciate you. Thanks Mrs. Marsh and have a great rest of a school year and God bless.

P.E.D’s are not to blame

Today I read that the baseball hall of fame didn’t vote anybody in. To me that a shame. I know that some of the people who were up are tied to PED’s but who cares?

It Baseballs own fault, the fans, and news media. Because no one spoke out about it till years later. There had to be someone somewhere who knew back when this stuff was going on and could have told the right people and stuff could have been done. But since no one spoke up till years later why are these people being punished? If they would have stepped in earlier and made an effort to keep the sport clean then I could see them keeping those people out.

Besides where the proof that these player tested positive for PED’s it is all here say. Who else has taken them and got away with it we don’t know. So why would you let someone who you think played clean but could have played dirty get in but wont let a person in that is accused of it in. That just dumb.

It is the fans fault because we were the ones rutting the guys on as they where doing it. We are the one who want to see home runs over just a base hit. If you would have know that a person was using P.E.Ds when this was happening would you have stopped rutting for them? I don’t think so. We asked for bigger stronger people because we like the Huge its like(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENuZHnQlqX0).

The media is at fault because they didn’t do their job and look into the situation and report it. They just like that it was bring the view to there pages, the read to their paper and eye balls to their shows.

If baseball would have stepped in right away and put a stop to it and truly found out who was using and not just turn a blind eye. I could see this vote as fair and just. But everyone has a little part in the blame. So why keep someone out who did what you asked them to do in putting up the numbers that are required to be elected into the Hall of Fame. I say just vote them in and let the people know that there is a asterisk by there names as may have used PEDS and just let it go.

For the photo of the week is of family friends kid at her birthday party. We were ask to come and I brought my camera and this is one of my favorite pictures that I got from the party. I hope you enjoy.
This one to me says it all. This is one of my proudest picture I took of 2012.
It was at a exposure of 1/60 sec at F/5.0 at 42mm at ISO1600 shot on a Canon Rebel XTi with a kit lens 18-55mm.

For this week it will be another light painting I did. This one is a picture of a stick figure man.

This one I did the same thing as I did with the smily face except I used my body as a guide to get the size and shape of it.
It was at a exposure time of 30 seconds at F/22 with a focal length of 18mm and ISO 1600.

Well today is 1/1/2013 The new years is finally upon us. It good to see a new year and to be excited about what may come our way. Do you have any goal that you like to share with us that you want to accomplish in 2013? If so leave a comment and we will try to help you in anyway possible to achieve that goal.

Some of my Goals for 2013
I want to lose 60 Lbs by October of this year.
I want to get into a habit of waking up early in the morning so I can work out at least 30 minutes to an hour a day.
I want to get out of debt by the end of 2013
I want to work on spending at least 30 minutes to hour with both of my twins each day
I want to work on my communication with my wife
I want to read through the bible in a year.
I want to do a weekly at home bible study with my family.
I want to work on keeping a budget and staying on budget for 2013
I want to work on my photography and start a business with it.
I want to keep reading a book a month

These are a few of the goals that I have for 2013. I hope and pray that 2013 bring you many blessing and joys. May God bless you on your endeavors and have a Happy and safe New Years.

The year in review

The year 2012 has been an interesting year for me. I did complete some of my goals. I found out somethings and learned some new things.

I did lose some weight I went down from 299 to 285 with out really doing anything but watching what I eat. I did read quite a few book this year. I read The go getter, Legend of the monk and the merchant, Rhinoceros success, and then all the book in the Morganville Vampire series which is thirteen book right now. I also read the Hunger Game trilogy. The one thing I found out is I like to listen to audio books I feel I get more out of it than if I try and read the book alone.

As for my photography I got to shoot two weddings, I also did a Bridal shot, and a model shoot. All very fun and exciting for me. Things I hadn’t done before. I have also taken a interest in light painting photography in which you take a picture with long exposure at night and use light to make imagines. here is a website you can go to (http://lightpaintingphotography.com/). As for the rest of the year it has been a little rough on my family and me because my wife became a full time stay at home mom and we have dramatically had a cut in income. But the Lord has truly blessed us so far. Still trying to get out of debt and that coming along slow. So over all 2012 was a fun filled year with its ups and downs. I pray that 2013 is a blessed year and that it is the same for you. Have a great rest of the day and A Happy New Year.

Should Romo and Jerry Jones go?

Something I don’t get in the NFL today is why we praise the QB when a team does good but when a team does bad it because of the QB. Football is a TEAM! sport it takes all 11 people on the field to win a game and lose a game. I don’t think it is all Romo’s fault the cowboys lost yesterday. Yes he threw three interceptions in the game. But his deference didn’t stop the Redskins when they should have.

The other thing I don’t understand is why in the heck are you using your time out before the two minute warning? I don’t understand that strategy I might could understand it to a point if the deference was stopping Washington but they where not. Can you explain to me why you would use your time out before the two minute warning I would appreciated it because I think you would want to use them after.

My question to the fans of the cowboys is Who do you want to replace Romo if you want to get rid of him? You have Kyle Orton as the back up and he is 30. You could go for Alex Smith but do you think he can handle the media in Dallas and the attention that being a Dallas Cowboy’s QB gets.

This is what I feel the Cowboys need to do. Fire the GM and put a new one in there…but that wont happen because the Owner think he is a good GM. Keep Romo for at least three to four more year while they groom a QB to take his place. Get depth at Offensive line and Defensive line. Draft a back up Running back and trade Felix Jones for more draft picks or a Offensive or Defensive linemen. Get more depth at Linebackers. And let the team be run by a coach not a owner.

My Ultimate feeling is the Cowboys will be no more than a 8-8 team while Jerry Jones is the GM of the team. And will always be just good enough to get your hopes up and then see them fall.
